Oxford Aims for ‘Number One Tech Hub’ Title

Ahead of the Digital Oxford launch on January 28, Wired UK  gives a detailed insight of our efforts to bring together the tech communities in Oxford and Oxfordshire.

In the article journalist Mark Piesing talks to Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy Ed Vaizey, NaturalMotion founder and CEO Torsten Reil, Digital Network Navigator Tony Hart and Digital Oxford Chair Dave Fletcher.

“Our ultimate goal in setting up Digital Oxford is for Oxford to be recognised by digital support agency Tech City as the number one tech hub in the country,” says Dave Fletcher, award-winning founder of both digital agency White October, which now employs about 40 people, and Digital Oxford. “We have a great ecosystem that has never been recognised on a national level and we need to do some work to make sure it is.”
