Welcome to the team!

We are welcoming three new members to our developer and client services teams …

Karen Leech joins as Drupal Developer. Previously with The Children’s Society, she has also worked for Cap Gemini, Norwich City College and as a freelance developer. Karen’s Drupal prowess and project management experience with Agile techniques made her a perfect fit for us:

“White October has a huge leaning to open source, networking and collaboration, all of which make the development process rewarding and productive. As a team member I feel very supported here,” she says.

Karen first got in touch with us when she Tweeted she was looking to work with a firm with commitment to Drupal. An avid networker, she also enjoys hiking and climbing.

Mat Gadd joins as Senior Backend Developer who joins from domain sales and hosting firm Namesco. An experienced developer whose interests began in childhood Mat’s move to White October is a return to the agency side.

“I love the variety and problem-solving nature of agency life,” he says. “White October has clients in many different sectors with varied requirements, and we use a wide range of technologies, databases, search engines, etc, to deliver solutions. It’s a great environment to develop in.”

The 29-year old is a musician in his spare time, and, new to Oxford, is looking forward to plugging into the city’s flourishing music scene.

Melissa Wilson is Support Administrator for the Support & Optimisation team, and will be channelling client enquiries to ensure they are handled in the most efficient, responsive way. Aged 22, she graduated from Oxford Brookes last year, and aims to build a career in project management.

Melissa lives in Oxford and is also an amateur botanist.

Our recruitment drive continues, so sign up to hear news of vacancies if you’re interested, and watch this space for more announcements soon.
