Hamilton Trust are delighted to be BETT Award finalists.

Hamilton Trust, working with White October, have been shortlisted for the finals in the Primary Digital Content category for their work over three key educational sites.

The main Hamilton Trust website makes adaptable teaching resources available electronically for teachers to use in planning and teaching across Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.  Their adaptability ensures they can tailor the plans to their own teaching styles and to the particular needs of their children.

Hamilton Trust plan

New this year is Hamilton Player, Hamilton’s sub-site designed to allow direct play in the classroom of a range of creative and inspiring supporting resources such as lively animated tales, narrations of oral stories, interactive maths games that make practicing key maths skills fun.  These materials can be given to small groups of children to watch and discuss alone or with a whole class.

Hamilton Player

Hamilton Education is a new sister site that supports the aims of the Hamilton Trust site by providing physical materials that can be used to teach the Hamilton plans.  There are specialist maths materials for classroom display, such as the colourful ‘space number line’, books of teacher activities, such as the highly-popular Five-Minute Fillers written by Professor Ruth Merttens, books to read to children, and sets of ‘Group Readers’ short, illustrated books designed to be read by and with 3 to 6 children.

As you can imagine these projects are the culmination of a huge amount of effort from many people. Thank you to everyone involved in the sites themselves and supporting Hamilton Trust.

Judging will take place on December 1st and 2nd December 2015. The winners of each category will be announced at the Bett Awards 2016 Ceremony taking place on Wednesday 20th January at the Brewery in London.
